Why Patients Choose Us

Dentistry That Respects Your Time and Your Budget

Evenings and Weekends

We are open until 8:00 PM on weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday, so you do not have to lose a day of work or school for a dental visit.

Clear Prices, No Surprises

You get a written treatment plan with the cost of every step before we begin, plus help understanding exactly what your insurance will and will not cover.

Gentle With Nervous Patients

If dental visits make you anxious, tell us. We go slowly, explain each step, and use modern numbing techniques so treatment stays comfortable.

One Practice for Everyone

Grandparents, parents and children are all seen by the same team, which makes scheduling easier and keeps your family’s dental history in one place.

Almost Everything In-House

Implants, root canals, extractions, orthodontics and cosmetic work are all done here, so you are rarely sent to another specialist across the Bay.

About Our Practice

Caring for East Bay Smiles Since 1998

East Bay Family Dentistry opened its doors in 1998 with one simple idea: good dentistry should be easy to reach and easy to afford. More than two decades later we are still on E 9th Street in Oakland, looking after many of the same families — now into their third generation.

Our team keeps up with the technology that genuinely helps patients: digital X-rays with lower radiation, same-visit treatment planning, and clear aligner therapy as a Platinum Invisalign Provider. What has not changed is the unhurried, honest conversation you get in the chair.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. We welcome new patients of every age, from toddlers to seniors. Call or text (510) 534-0706 and we will usually find you an appointment within a few days, including evenings and weekends.
Do you take my insurance?
We accept most PPO dental plans and we also see Medi-Cal / Denti-Cal patients. Because every plan is different, the safest thing is to call us with your member ID. We will verify your benefits before your visit and tell you what, if anything, you will owe.
What if I have a dental emergency?
Call us as early in the day as you can. We keep time aside for urgent problems such as severe toothache, a knocked-out tooth, swelling or a broken filling, and we are open seven days a week including evenings.
How much does a dental implant cost in Oakland?
The cost depends on whether you need bone grafting, how many teeth are missing, and the type of crown used. Rather than quote a misleading figure, we give you an exact written price after a consultation and X-ray, and we explain any payment options available.
At what age should my child first see a dentist?
The general guidance is by the first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth appearing. Early visits are short and friendly, and they help your child feel comfortable with the dentist long before any treatment is ever needed.
Where exactly are you located?
We are at 3040 E 9th St, Suite D, Oakland, CA 94601, close to the Fruitvale district with parking available on site.
